The Town of Rico will host a community forum to discuss soil contamination due to historic mining activities in the area. The Town has invited Dave Folkes and Stephen Foster of Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. to make a presentation regarding soil contamination and potential risks to health. Lead health risk assessment documents are available at https://townofrico.colorado.gov/environmental-information. Mark Rudolph of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Tom Bloomfield of Kaplan Kirsch will also attend the presentation and be available to answer questions.
