More information regarding the availability of vaccines for Rico residents that are over 70 can be obtained by calling the Dolores County Public Health office at (970) 512-6066 or emailing mrandolph@fone.net.  

There is some funding available for rent and mortgage assistance through the Department of Local Affairs.  To get more information and to apply, go to https://cdola.colorado.gov/rental-mortgage-assistance 

Due to an increase in COVID19 cases, Dolores County has moved to from Level Yellow to Level Orange.

Southwest Health System is proud to provide COVID-19 Drive Thru testing to the Montezuma and Dolores Counties and surrounding areas. With anticipated inclement weather and changes in daylight, we’ve updated our hours as follows. Please review the updated hours for our drive thru testing and new traffic flow. We appreciate your flexibility to these changes as we prepare for winter weather while maintaining this service:

Mon/Tue/Th/Fr 10a-4p 

Wed 10a-2p -Community Testing

We’ve also changed the access to Drive Thru testing. It can now be accessed through Cottonwood Drive, the next left past the emergency entrance when heading north on Mildred Road. Community testing on Wednesday is free and no symptoms are needed to be tested.
